Forbes: U2 is Richest Band in the Land

What's surprising to me: it's usually the acts I despise that assemble the top earners.

But this time, the Justin Biebers, Kenny Chesneys and Taylor Swifts don't even come close: admitedly, I would've automatically assumed they would have been #s one, two and three in any given order.

But fear not, true believers, rock - and many members of the Loon's family - are thriving.

Particularly the TCF Bank Stadium bound U2 (remember to register here to score the Loon's Ultimate U2 Concert Experience). According to Forbes, the Irish lads made $195 million between May of last year and May of this year.

Bon Jovi comes in at #2 with $125 million.

Other Loon artists who are getting the bills paid include birthday-boy Paul McCartney (69 today!), AC/DC, Tom Petty, and The Eagles.
