Do you need some ideas for a great Valentine's Day getaway?  Usually I feel like Valentine's Day is one of those fake holidays that have been generated by the card companies.  But it can also be a day that you make sure to tell your love one that you care, love and would like to spend some extra time with them.  Easy.

Or not so easy.  Some people are not ok with the stereotypical flowers, chocolates, regular dinner, or that type of thing.  So, what can you do to change some things up?

LETS FIND SOME FUN AND UNIQUE VALENTINE'S DAY ADVENTURES

How about taking a weekend trip to the North Woods in Minnesota and stay at one of the awesome resorts in the area?  Especially in the winter.  Even though it's cold, it can look really majestic and be a perfect outlook for a couple interested in that type of thing.

GLASS BLOWING FOR UNIQUE HANDMADE GIFTS

How's that for fun and unique?  The handmade gifts just went to another level.  There are a couple of places in Minnesota to do that.  One is in Duluth - the Lake Superior Art Class, or check out the the Appleberry's Attic and Craft Studio in Anoka.  You can make some "out of the box" crafts that both adults and kids will enjoy.

FIND A PLAY, SHOW or CONCERT TO ATTEND

There are several shows around the area here in St. Cloud, Paramount, Pioneer Place, or head to the metro and take in a concert at any of the several venues around.  Or hit up the Chanhassen Dinner Theatre.  Always a great dinner, and a show along with it.  Perfect.

FIND A NEW RESTAURANT YOU HAVEN'T TRIED BEFORE

I love doing these types of things.  Find a new restaurant to try that maybe you have heard about from others and you haven't been able to try yet.  Or, maybe just do a search of types of restaurants you would be interested in that you haven't tried and go to one of those.  New experiences are always fun... could be interesting too.  Especially if you try some ethnic foods.  New restaurant, and possibly some new foods.
