Vandalized? Again? What is Wrong With People?
Sometimes you just have to sit back and wonder what goes through some people's heads.

I'm sure you have seen some of these cute little libraries around in some neighborhoods. The idea is that you can take a book or leave a book, and when you are done with it, just bring it back for someone else to read and enjoy. And, it's FREE.
There was one of these Little Free Libraries in Crystal, Minnesota that has been vandalized not once, but twice! I don't understand the reasoning behind it. There's no money attached, these stands are generally not in the way of anything else. If you don't want to read, then don't. But why in the world would someone want to wreck it?
Now, there is a go fund me page set up to raise some funds to get this Little Free Library back up and running.
The fundraiser is looking for $600 and so far they have raised $480. The description on the donation page says that "luckily" they have only been vandalized twice in 8 years. To me, that seems like a lot. Even once would be too much for something like this. It's a little crazy, in my opinion.
It happened again last night where all the books were removed and put on the wet ground, the library was pulled off the post and left open to collect rain, a sitting stump was pulled out of the ground, and the library flag post was pulled up.I would love to make this Little Free Library bigger and better for the community by adding a bench (pictured) and a mini shed (pictured) for children's books-board books by far are our fastest moving books. With your help I think we can accomplish this goal.Any money raised in excess of this will be donated to establish another Little Free Library in the area.
