Veteran’s Day Freebies

To thank veterans on this Veterans Day, many restaurants are offering free meals to vets, and some even discounts to the vet's family. Here's a brief list, with a link to the complete list. Most establishments require a military ID or proof of service. Make sure to call ahead to ensure that your choice is a participating location.

Applebee's - a free meal to military vets and active-duty service members.

Bonanza Steakhouse - free Veterans Day buffet.

Denny's - free build-your-own Grand Slam breakfast until noon for all active, inactive, and retired military personnel.

Green Mill - Free single menu item. Pizza is restricted to a small one-topping deep dish.

IHOP - Free Red, White, and Blue pancakes or Red, White, and Blue pancakes combo plate until 7pm.

Olive Garden - Free entrée for veterans and active-duty members. Guests that dine with a veteran also receive 10% off their bill.

Texas Roadhouse - Free lunch event for all veterans; active, retired, or former U.S. military.
