Viking receiver Percy Harvin told reporters on the first day of mandatory minicamp that he hasn’t “been real happy lately” and that a lot of things need to be sorted out before training camp begins.  Harvin reportedly has now requested a trade.  The trade request in not expected to be granted.  Harvin has 2 years left on his 5-year $12.05 Million rookie contract.  He didn’t go into detail as to what his issues with the team were but did say it was multiple things.  Viking head coach Leslie Frazier is confident they can work through the issue before training camp.

Harvin had 87 receptions for 967 yards and 6 touchdowns in 2011.  Harvin also had 2 rushing touchdowns and 1 kickoff return touchdown in 2011.

Viking defensive end Jared Allen also said at camp Tuesday that his goal is to pass Michael Strahan’s single season sack record of 22 1/2 sacks.  Allen has 22 sacks last season.
