When you're a kid one of the fun things to do is to go to the zoo and see some of the animals that you wouldn't normally get to see in person.  And usually each zoo has a favorite that all the visitors of the zoo like to see.  When I was a kid, the favorite at the COMO zoo was the gorilla exhibit.

At the Minnesota zoo, where they try to keep the animals in their natural habitat as much as possible, which is great not just for the animals, but also for people viewing.  Great learning tool.

One of the favorite animals at the Minnesota Zoo was Min, a red panda.  Min was born in a zoo in Oklahoma in 2011, and arrived in Minnesota in 2012.  She had been battling poor health in recent months.  The Minnesota Zoo announced on their Facebook Page that Min had passed away. They also included some very cute pictures of this red panda.  I always think that pandas are super cute animals but this red one is cuteness overload.

Without knowing that Min was a red panda, I don't think I would have known that.  She almost looks fox-ish. Looking at the comments on the zoo's Facebook page, she will be very missed.  Hopefully they are able to get another red panda soon.

The Minnesota zoo is open to the public, but are still requiring visitors to purchase advance tickets online and stagger entrance times.  They also have a virtual Summer camp, and registration is now open.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
