We Lose More Daylight in September Than Any Other Month. But…
Yes, we lose about 90 minutes of daylight by the time September is over. But, on the bright side, there will also be bright colors coming too.
The changing of green leaves to brilliant fall colors also starts this month, and will continue for a few weeks. Might be time to plan a road trip, either North or South depending on the time, and what you'd like to see. Minnesota is a big state, and there are lots of options of Fall things to do.
According to the Weather.gov site, the weather does play a huge factor on when leaves will change and how brilliant the colors will be from season to season.
Since it's been so damp this Summer, I'm expecting some great fall colors, and probably sooner than later. Also, a lot of Fall events are happening all around the state that are mostly family friendly. These events include orchards, corn mazes, pumpkin patches and so much more.

PUMPKIN REGATTA
This happens in Stillwater during the Fall Harvest Fest October 14th and 15th. People get a giant pumpkin, hollow it out, then climb in and race it across the St. Croix. Sounds like a ton of "tippy" fun.
