That's right, no Halloween blizzard in the forecast and no extra warm, sweat your butt off temps like Halloween 2000. Looks like this year will be a pretty decent temp and no mention of rain or snow.

Halloween is mostly a crap shoot when it comes to weather. Living in Minnesota, we've seen it all. That's what makes living here so special, right?  You just never know. Halloween this year looks to be in the low 50's and partly cloudy with no mention of any precipitation.

I remember as a kid and it was very cold out, we'd have to cover our cool costumes by putting on our winter coats. That kind of took the fun out of it all.

As a parent, I remember taking my girls out trick or treating one time and it was cold and windy. For some reason, it didn't faze my girls a bit.

My favorite Halloween with my kids was about 15 years ago when I was living in a pretty good size apartment complex in Sartell. Probably around 300 apartments. The complex would throw a short Halloween themed party in the lobby and then turn the kids loose in the complex.

Tenants that wanted to participate in the door to door trick or treating would hang a cutout of a pumpkin on their door. So, no pumpkin on the door, no knock. It was nice because it was all indoors.

My kids would get so much candy, They'd have to stop by my apartment to empty their bags and head back out. Now, in their 20's, they still bring up how fun those Halloweens were back then.

Anyway, partly cloudy and low 50's is the forecast for Halloween.  Have fun!!
