I am not one of those people who sees a celebrity somewhere and immediately wants to get a picture, an autograph, or some other thing that most people would want to keep as a momento or something.  But, I do think it's cool when a celebrity wants to live in our very humble state of Minnesota.

Here is the other thing to consider... if a celebrity is living in Minnesota, or anywhere in the Midwest, they are probably interested in living a "normal" life, and not dealing with the hustle and bustle of the Hollywood and LA scene.

Josh Duhamel is one of those celebrities who wants to live somewhat "off the grid".  He is orignally from North Dakota, and right now he is living... as least for now.. in his "doomsday cabin" in Northern Minnesota.

Just a couple of days ago he posted an Instagram reel showing how he was out on "some lake" in Northern Minnesota checking on the ice.  He was in just swim trunks and a life jacket.  So the air must have been fairly warm, but there was still ice on the lake.  He even picks some of it up to show any viewer that there was still some ice on the lake.

I'm guessing anyone who has never been to Minnesota would be surprised that he had basically shorts on with ice still on the lake in a kayak.  Because you know, it's ALWAYS cold here.  HA!

You can check out his Instagram post here.

Duhamel is currently starring in the Netflix series Ransom Canyon along with James Brolin, and Minka Kelly, who you may remember from Friday Night Lights. The first season is out, and it ends with a cliffhanger (of course) so a second season seems likely.
