Who Doesn’t Need A Dog? Roxie Is Up For Adoption
Once again, we talked to Kate from Tri County humane Society about this week's adoptable pet. We have a pretty good streak going as far as getting these pups into a home. Help us keep the streak going.
Say Hello to Roxie. She has lots of energy and is looking for an active household. Roxie should not go to a home with small dogs or cats as she is not a fan of either one~~She has not had the chance to meet other dogs her size and we would require a meet and greet here at the shelter with any resident large dogs.
Roxie has done well with children in the past but can sometimes forget how big she is. Sometimes when Roxie gets excited or eager, she can become mouthy and will benefit from consistent training to break this habit. Lots of physical and mental stimulation will help to keep her from using her mouth to play. Various types of fun toys will also help her learn proper play.
She is potty trained and will go to the door when she needs to go out. Roxie is not a huge fan of the cold or snow so it takes a little extra coaxing to get her out when its really cold! She will shred toys and blankets so she should have toys that are more durable. She enjoys puzzle toys with treats in them and Kongs with peanut butter in them and it keeps her busy and happy.
She does pull hard on the leash so she would benefit from some leash training. Roxie is a very good dog and can't wait to meet her new people!! Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care
