So I headed over to Starbucks after the morning show because I needed my Refresher!  Love those, by the way.  I get through the drive thru and I see a sign that says that they will be closed today at 3pm.

Why?  Am I that out of touch?  I mean, it doesn't really matter to me that much because I rarely go to Starbucks in the afternoon.  It's always a morning, or mid-morning thing for me.

Did some research... remember that incident where the two people were arrested for just sitting in Starbucks waiting for a meeting with someone?  They had gotten there earlier than the person they were meeting with and the people at Starbucks CALLED THE POLICE and had them arrested.  For NO REASON.  They were waiting 'til everyone had arrived before ordering anything.

So, now they need to have some sensitivity training.  8,000 stores across the country are going to be closed for a day so everyone can get on the same page and basically learn to be nice to everyone.  Wow.  Shouldn't that be a given?  It's kind of a sad time when you actually need to shut down your stores everywhere to teach people to do their job with sensitivity.

On the other hand, when I did go into a Starbucks here in St. Cloud a couple of weeks ago, there were a couple of people sleeping on the couch/love seat as you walk in.  It was weird.  We were there for about 20 minutes or so.  When we left, they were still there.  Is that ok?  I think that is weird and uncomfortable.  It's not a sleeping room. There has to, or should be a line where one is discriminatory and the other is just saying that you need to move on. .

Amiright?:
