Wild Set To Face Blackhawks In First Playoff Trip Since ’08
The Minnesota Wild have reached the NHL playoffs for the first time since 2008, when they lost in the opening round to the Colorado Avalanche.
The #8-seeded Wild will face the #1-seeded Chicago Blackhawks in a best-of-seven series beginning Tuesday night in Chicago.
The Blackhawks finished the season with the best record in the NHL at 36-7-5, while Wild check in with a final record of 26-19-3. The Hawks' goal differential was +53, while the Wild are the only playoff team to have a negative differential at -5.
