MIAMI - The #4 ranked St. Cloud State men's hockey team suffered a tough 4-3 loss on the road to Miami University on Friday night.

The loss allows North Dakota to move into a tie for first place with the Huskies in the NCHC.

St. Cloud State opened the scoring with a power play goal from Jonny Brodzinski in the first period. Miami would respond with a power play goal of their own at 16:22 in the first from Austin Czamik to make it 1-1.

The Redhawks would take the lead in the second period with goals from Sean Kuraly and Blake Coleman for a 3-1 lead.

The Huskies finished the second with a goal from Brooks Bertsch to make it 3-2 going into the third.

Miami would score the game winning goal at 7:57 in the third with Coleman's second goal of the game.

The Huskies finished the scoring with a power play goal from Nic Dowd to make it 4-3. Dowd leads the team with 17 goals this season.

St. Cloud State is now 17-7-5 and 11-5-3-0 in the NCHC after the loss. Miami University improves to 11-15-3 overall and 5-13-1-1 in the NCHC.

The Huskies look to rebound on Saturday night for game two against the Redhawks. Puck drop is set for 6:07 p.m.
