Grandmas like to drink. Wouldn't you? You're in the golden years of your life, and (hopefully) retired, so what else is there to do?

Go running with your daughter.

Meet 81-year-old Elvira Montes. Elvira started running 21 years ago and has even competed in a few races. She recently joined her daughter in competing at the 2015 FloTrack Beer Mile World Championships in Austin, TX.

Running is hard enough; running a beer mile requires downing a 12-oz brew before each lap. Sounds like fun until you try.

Elvira took on the challenge, and became the oldest finisher at the championships.

The best part? She outran her daughter.

To celebrate her achievement, Elvira took that family out for wings and her preferred adult beverage: scotch.
