Unfortunately, there aren’t many active rock bands from the 70s and 80s. There are a handful, but not many. However, there is one pretty wicked band from back in the day that’s still hard at it – Bad Company.

These guys were a huge deal back in the day. Every member of the group is a great musician and they wrote some of the catchiest rock tunes of all time. The band will be gracing Minnesota with their presence on March 23th at Treasure Island Casino – but if you’re like me, you probably won’t go. You know why? Because it is a HUGE hassle to attend a concert like that.

You have to take off work, spend hundreds of dollars, do extensive driving, and worst of all – you have to tolerate THOUSANDS of people. Not my ideal evening, sorry. Personally, I’ve found that a much more affordable and less exhausting alternative for introverts like myself is to check out professional cover bands instead.

It’s a quarter of the cost of seeing an arena show and there will probably only be 100 people or so at the show. I can tolerate that. If you’re like me and dig Bad Company but want to avoid the crowd and save some money, you should check out Madd Company.

They’re an amazing tribute to Bad Company and they’re playing Pioneer Place in St. Cloud on April 20th. The show starts at 7:30 pm and you can get a ticket online now for $26.
