Minneapolis, St Paul airport is rolling out a new system that will help travelers speed up their security check point.

Beginning on September 17th, next week, getting through the TSA is going to be a whole lot easier than it has been in the past.

Here's how it works:

From Axios:

As much as a week ahead of time, passengers can book a 15-minute window in a dedicated "MSP RESERVE" security line, according to an airport statement.

The Minneapolis/St Paul airport is also one of the airports, along with 18 others, that uses a program called CLEAR.  This system allows passengers to buy a membership that allows them to pass through the security check with a biometric scan.  The new reservation system that will begin next week will allow passengers to pass through security without a biometric scan or a CLEAR membership.

So the new reservation system will be a lot easier, and cheaper!  This system is not new to the Minneapolis airport, it has been available in Terminal 2 since May of 2023.  Now it will be available at the larger airport, Terminal 1, as well.
