Buzzing with Opportunity: New Barber School Opens at Crossroads

Have you ever had the desire to become a barber? You're in luck! A brand new opportunity for you to master your skills has arrived in St. Cloud.

Barber Hussle The School is going to be opening in the Crossroads Center Mall in May.

Barber Hussle will be offering a program for students that will cover barber techniques. You will be learning the basics as well as more complex barber techniques.

The 9-month program will be offered to 10 students and will be a full-time day school.

ROUNDED EDUCATION

Students will not only learn skills on haircuts, they will also get the important education regarding retail skills including record keeping, state regulations, and more.

According to an article, Maurice Burson, who is opening the school, said, "They can pretty much learn all the basics that Minnesota … requires, the shaving techniques, the hair cutting techniques, the book curriculum as far as the nervous system."

PASSION BECOMES REALITY FOR MAURICE BURSON

Burson was passionate about being a barber for many years before he started. "I used to just sit at the barbershop all day long and just watch them, and then I had a buddy of mine who was like, 'you know what? Go to barber school, and I'll get you the chair right here next to me.'

Burson has now been a barber for six years. Barber Hussle will offer haircuts to the public and sell eco-friendly hair care products.

Barber Hussle focuses on healthy hair and scalp, as well as a healthy planet.

Barber Hussle will help students meet state certifications to open their own barber shops, and it sounds like Burson plans on keeping some of his students to work with him in the Crossroads location in the future.

The school is set to have a grand opening sometime at the end of May.
