Camera at the Stoplight at Hwy 15 and 2nd Street

Yep, they are putting in a camera to catch people running the red light on Hwy 15 and 2nd street here in St. Cloud.  This intersection is considered to be one of the most deadly intersections in the state.  Therefore, this seems like the best place to try this camera out. This will be active from June through August.

Here is the deal- the camera is in live time, and the information will be deleted automatically within every 48 hours.  The camera will not be able to pick up your face or your license plate, but your car will definitely be detected if it runs through the red light.  Meanwhile, there will be an officer close by monitoring the camera, then they will make the determination if they will issue a citation or not.  You don't just receive something in the mail like in other states that have something similar.
