Oktoberfest... first of all, why is it celebrated in the latter part of September?  I need to research...here is what I found.  Short answer- the weather is nicer in September.  It's a bit of a crap shoot when you get into October.  But there are some other contributing factors as well, but the weather is really the driving force.

Anyway, as it is the latter part of September now, there are some festivities going on this weekend in St. Cloud.  It's nice to be able to do some of these things again amid t he global pandemic.  So many things.... most everything, really, has been cancelled.  But Oktoberfest is going to happen. Granted, it's going to be a little different with some limited people, and primarily outside.  The weather looks great, so I'm totally fine with it.

This Thursday, September 24th, there will be an Oktoberfest celebration at Boulder Tap House just off of Hwy 15 and 2nd Street.  Mason Dixon Line will be playing in the parking lot, with parking in the back for festival-goers.  You can get your tickets in advance and get all of the information right here. You will also need to bring your own lawn chair if you would like to sit, as seating will not be provided.  If you feel at all like you have any of the symptoms from the Coronavirus, you are asked to please stay home.

Saturday, Beaver Island brewery will be having their own Oktoberfest celebration.  They are limiting people for this event as well.  They have recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance, and they do include a Beaver Island stein, while supplies last. This will also be held outside, in the back parking lot of Beaver Island located downtown St. Cloud, just off of Division Street.   You can get your tickets and information in advance for this event right here.

The weather looks like it's going to perfect for an outdoor event, so come and enjoy some beer and socializing... from 6 feet away.
