Unfortunately, the days of rock bands being the focal point of modern entertainment are pretty much over. Back in the day, rock bands were everywhere. The driving forces of the time were Zeppelin, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, Skynyrd, Deep Purple, Sabbath, and The Who.

Another name that belongs on that list is Cheap Trick. Robin Zander's powerful vocals and Rick Nielson's playful, energetic guitar playing made for a one of a kind combination. Like any band, they've had their fair share of ups and downs over the years, but they’re finally back on the road again.

They've actually done a pretty solid job of consistently releasing new music over the past few years, plus they're still touring, which is rare for a band that's been around as long as they have. Cheap Trick will be coming to Minnesota on New Year's Eve – playing in Welch at Treasure Island Casino. The show will take place on Tuesday, December 31st at 10:30 pm. You can get a pre-sale ticket online now.
