There is a new restaurant that just opened up this week downtown St. Cloud.  Family owned Tequila Town took over the former Searle's on 5th location on 5th Avenue across from the Red Carpet.

I know that I have mentioned before about how we have cornered the market on chicken places, car washes, banks and of course... Mexican restaurants.  But, with that said, after tasting the food at Tequila Town, I would highly recommend this restaurant.  There was a group of 5 of us who all orders something different off their extensive menu.  All 5 of us were impressed with the food and menu.

First, there is a dish that is served in half of a pineapple.  I've never seen that before, other than cut the other way, and served with a drink in it.  This time it's cut lenghways and has some delicious seafood combo in it.

We also enjoyed other traditional Mexican restaurant staples such as a chimichanga, street tacos, enchiladas and a chipotle chicken dish.  All were amazing.

If you were someone who was a frequent flier at Searles on 5th, or when it was DB Searle's, you will remember the set up and color of the bar.  That has been changed.  The set up is basically the same, but the decor and paint color has definitely changed, and it has a much brighter feel to it.

This is the main bar, which is on the first floor.

There is soon to be a dance club/disco with a Latin flair on the second floor.

The 3rd floor is where the restaurant/dining area is located.  You can also order food in the bar area, if you prefer.  But, if you are planning to eat in the upstairs dining area, you will need to climb 2 flights of stairs, as the elevator is not for public use....yet.  But that plan is still in the works.

If you have a chance, check out the new Tequila Town in St Cloud!
