A Central Minnesota bus driver has recently been honored for not only 50 years of service, but it was also noted that he has driven accident-free and never called in sick! Norb Walz, congratulations!

5 Decades Of 'Perfect' Driving & Attendance

Trobec's Bus Service shared the news via social media that Norb Walz was recently honored at the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association's Conference for his exemplary service record in transporting our kids to and from school, as well as to their activities, without incident or calling in sick. Norb seems to be a real-life superhero.

Last week at the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association ’s Conference, we had the honor of celebrating one of our own — Norb Walz — who was recognized as a Transportation Specialist for an incredible 50 years of service as a school bus driver.
In five decades behind the wheel, there’s hardly a county road or city street in our two districts that Norb hasn’t traveled. Even more remarkable? Not a single accident. Not a single sick day. Ever.
Norb is the quiet strength of our team — always dependable, always humble, and always showing up for the kids in our community. We’re beyond proud to see him recognized by the Minnesota School Bus Operators Association and grateful every day that he’s part of the Trobec’s family.
Here’s to you, Norb. A true legend in yellow.

The post from Trobec's Bus Service highlighted Norb's career and gave us a little more insight into who he is as a person.

Dependable, Humble, & Shows Up

What characteristics would you want your children to learn from others? The three words used to describe Norb in the post from Trobec's would be on my list for kids to learn.

Norb probably knows a majority of the area's streets better than some street department employees; heck, he might even know the red-light wait times.

I know it's cliché to say, but it's true: showing up is 90% of the job in life.

Congrats to Norb for his decades of careful yet purposeful driving in our communities. We know our kids are in good hands when we see you open up that bus door.
