Music is a language in itself , and to switch time signatures in the course of a song or even play a whole song and have it become a hit, i.e the song, "Money" by Pink Floyd is not an easy thing to do.

Pink Floyd utilized the 7/4 time signature for the song, "Money", David Gilmour says in reference to that move, "We created a 4/4 progression for the guitar solo (but) made the poor sax player play in 7/4."
7/4 time signature:
7/4 time doesn't work for most songs because of it's weird rhythm and bars of odd length but for "Money" it became a traditional time signature which enabled the song to become a hit which also includes a double-tracking and tape loops of sound effects.
