It seems like every year, more and more motion pictures are produced on a global scale. There will be hundreds of films that you can catch in theaters this year. But how are you supposed to know which ones to show up for and which ones to ignore? Never fear! Drew is here to help you out. This is my list of must see films in 2018.

- A Wrinkle In Time

I saw the trailer for this film when I went to watch “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” in theaters. It sports classic scifi/fantasy themes, other-worldly dimensions, and Oprah Winfrey. What’s not to like?

- Red Sparrow

Jennifer Lawrence looks like she’s at the top of her acting game in the trailer for this picture (not to mention, she’s smoking hot with that exotic Russian accent.) The plot is unique and intriguing. Female Russian spies, or “Sparrows” are forced to lure unsuspecting men, who work for foreign powers to their fate. Sounds brutal.

- Insidious: The Lost Key

As an adult, it’s pretty rare for me to find a film or series that even remotely unsettles me. I haven’t been authentically frightened by a movie since I saw “The Ring” when I was eight years old. However, I was rather impressed by “Insidious.” I look forward to potentially being scared by this installment of the franchise.

And finally…

- Solo: A Star Wars Story

Even though I think Disney is making a big mistake by basically releasing a new Star Wars film every 6 months, it’s impossible not to watch them. Believe me, I will be attending opening night for this movie, for better or worse, dressed up in my Anakin Skywalker costume. It’ll be pretty cool to see how the galaxy’s dankest smuggler meets Chewbacca and acquires the almighty Millennium Falcon.

Those are honestly the only films on my list. Unfortunately, every other film that I’ve seen a trailer for looks rather bland and unappealing. But hey, at least you have four good ones to look forward to.
