Dumb Minnesota Laws That Still Exist, Including St. Cloud’s Hamburgers on Sundays Law
There are so many Minnesota laws, it's almost impossible to keep straight unless you're a geeky lawyer. Every one of these laws is dumb, but could get you a ticket!
According to Dumb Laws, the following laws still exist in the law books, and for some reason, were never removed:
In St. Cloud - It's illegal to eat hamburgers on Sundays. I'll take my chance and do it anyways. A good burger never tasted so good in the back of a cop car.
All of Minnesota - It is illegal to stand around any building without a good reason to be there. I get this one, because of "loitering" concerns, but illegal? Really??
All of Minnesota - A person may not cross state lines with a duck atop his head. Who in the world does this? How would this ever be a law? Did somebody walk into the state capital and actually push this to be a law? Unbelievable!
All of Minnesota - Citizens may not enter Wisconsin with a chicken on their head. Well, this one I can understand I guess. People from Wisconsin don't want to confuse their own residents with people from Minnesota.
All of Minnesota - It is illegal to sleep naked. There's no way I'm sleeping with any clothes on, period. I guess you'll have to break the door down in the middle of the night to 'bring me in'! Pointless law, unless you're talking about sleeping naked outside, which would be a different law - public nudity. This law has been trumped!
All of Minnesota - Oral sex is prohibited. Again, break down my door and catch me. Another law that's trumped if it's outdoors, which is the only way you're going to see it.
and finally...
All of Minnesota - All bathtubs must not have feet. Wha??? Are we talking a "clawfoot bathtub"? Of all the laws, this was important to add why?
I wonder how many police officers in central Minnesota know about these laws. I think I may have to find out...
