The Eagles are coming up on forty years together, and if that isn't something to celebrate, I don't know what is. Joe Walsh told 'Rolling Stone' in a recent interview that the band will celebrate with a retrospective tour next year.

The Eagles guitarist said to 'Rolling Stone' "Everybody's seen our show, so we have to put together something new. We've been archiving so much stuff from the band's early days, concert footage and interviews and stuff. Those will be the visuals to go along with the songs. We'll also revisit some old songs and some new stuff."

This sounds like its a done deal, and if that's the case there are going to be a lot of very happy Eagles fans out there. Walsh said they would most likely be on the road for four or five months in the back half of 2012.

Walsh also recently wrapped up his solo album, which he plans to release early next year. Looks like we have a lot to look forward to in 2012 if all goes as Joe Walsh says it will.
