Here we are - It's Girl Scout Cookie season!  I will be completely honest, I really do love just about every Girl Scout cookie that I have tried.  But with that said, I usually don't try any of the fruit variations that they have.  I usually don't like those types of cookies, but I have also not tried them to form an actual opinion.

Here are the fruit varieties that they have had currently and in the past:

  • Lemon-Ups®: Crispy cookies baked with uplifting messages, produced by Little Brownie Bakers.
  • Lemonades®: Shortbread cookies with a savory lemon icing, produced by ABC Bakers.
  • Raspberry Rally®: Often described as a "sister" to the Thin Mint, this cookie features a berry-flavored interior dipped in chocolate.
  • Past Varieties: Previous fruit options included Mango Cremes (with NutriFusion), Lemon Coolers, and Lemon Chalet Creme

I do, however love any of the peanut butter based cookies, shortbread cookies, thin mints, caramel and more.  Since I like all of those, might be a good idea to at least try the others... right?

The website Delish did their own ranking of all things Girl Scout cookie and here is what they came up with - do you agree?  By the way, this is from worst to best cookies.

TOFFEE-TASTIC

Theser are the "worst".  Positive - they are gluten free, but other than that they are just boring.

LEMON-UPS

These taste a little fake, and also don't measure up to the other lemon cookie that the Girl Scouts have.

CARAMEL CHOCOLATE CHIP

Again, the positive thing about these cookies is that they are gluten free.  So if that is important to you - score!  Otherwise they are just kind of dry and boring.

DO SI DOs or PEANUT BUTTER SANDWICH

Like the lemon ones, these just don't measure up to the other peanut butter cookie that is going to be on this list a little higher up.  If you haven't had one of these, they are kind of like a Nutter Butter.

EXPLOREMORES

These cookies are new.  I haven't tried them but apparently they are most related to Rocky Road Ice Cream. I'm willing to try this guy.

TREFOILS

I hadn't heard of these, but turns out they are the original shortbread cookies.

ADVENTUREFULS

These are perfect if you have a sweet craving. They are not that big, and are pretty good.

LEMONADES

These are those cookies that look like a big pinwheel.  They have the icing on the bottom, and kind of taste like a lemon bar if you like that type of thing.

Now, we have come to the top three cookies in the Girl Scout group.  These are top tier and the ones that most people love.

THIN MINTS

In my opinion, these are best when frozen.  You can crumble on ice cream, you could just eat them regularly, or mix them into something else. Can't go wrong with the thin mints.

CARAMEL DELIGHTS OR SAMOAS (depending on where you are)

One word describes these YUM!

And the number one cookie - and my absolute favorite....

PEANUT BUTTER PATTIES

These are the peanut butter cookies that are covered in chocolate.  The BEST ever!!!
