Just days before Christmas, Drekker Brewing Company in Fargo made a huge announcement regarding its space and vision for the future.

"It’s always been our dream to orchestrate the most creative, funky, & weird experience possible," the destination brewery announced on Facebook, "and for where this freak parade is going, we’re going to need a bigger tent."

"Without further ado, we’d like to introduce the full (frontal) vision of Brewhalla," the post continues. "Brewhalla" is the name that was given to the new taproom expansion that opened September 2018 and encompasses the destination and experience that Drekker wanted to create around the brewery.

"So what [the eff] is Brewhalla gonna be now? A Food & Entertainment WONDERLAND! A misfit Factory of GOOD TIMES!" The Facebook caption goes on to explain that the new $20 million, 100,000-square-foot building will include a food hall and market, event venue, 24+ room hotel and apartments.

Drekker Brewing Co. hopes to break ground spring of 2021 and complete construction by fall 2022.

According to its website, Drekker Brewing Co. started like many do -- "just a couple of friends brewing in a garage who loved great beer, had a crazy dream, and worked their asses off to make it come true." Drekker opened the doors of its downtown Fargo taproom in September 2014 and -- four years later -- opened the doors of its second space Brewhalla. Drekker's Brewhalla is currently listed as the 6th most popular tourist attraction in the Fargo area on TripAdvisor.
