Last night I had the opportunity to see a fundraiser at the Paramount - downtown St. Cloud.  It was amazing.

First, the choir of students aged from 9th through 12th grade did an amazing job with a few of their own songs, and also back up to the local musicians that were also participating as the evening's entertainment.

Towards the end of the evening, the younger members of the Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota got up on stage and also sang a song with the entire choir.

WHAT IS YCCM?

The Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota is for young singers (ages 10-18) from all over the Saint Cloud Greater area who want to further elevate their choral experience.

This annual fundraiser is also a way to keep music in schools, which is so important.

The Youth Chorale of Central Minnesota consists of students (ages 10-18) from around Central Minnesota. High school singers in Youth Chorale rehearse on Sunday evenings on the campus of St. John's University in Collegeville, Minn. Our Cantabile elementary and middle school ensembles rehearse at Apollo High School in St. Cloud, Minn. on Monday evenings. Coming from 31 communities, singers in YCCM provide a level of artistic merit that delights arts patrons in Central Minnesota.

Here ae some pictures from the event last night.  There is the Youth Choir, of course, and some local musicians including Stretch, from The Fabulous Armadillos, Tommy Vee and his son Bennett, Jennifer Lamb-Rudolph, Stacy Bauer, who you may recognize from the Led Zeppelin Tribute Band, Blimp, Michael Shynes, Ted and Dave from Dueces Wild, Dueling Piano show, and a couple others sprinkled in.

The show had a variety of solos, both vocal and instrumental, the choir mixing up both back up and their own performances.  It was a great night, try and make plans for next year's show.  The tickets were very reasonably priced, and go to a great cause, as the local musicians all donated their time for this event.
