Kate from Tri County Humane Society called in this morning with this week's adoptable pet. A dog named Mello has been there quite awhile and Kate says he gets a little depressed when he's not adopted and has to return to his kennel. Here's more about Mello;

~ Meet Mello! ~~ Mello came to TCHS as a stray, so not much is known about his history ~~Was adopted and returned shortly because he didn't get along with the other dog in the home~~ It is unknown how he does with cats or children; he may do best as a solo pet ~~ Has met dogs and did not do well with them~~It is recommended he doesn't go home with any dogs~~Slow and proper introductions are recommended when introducing Mello to other pets and children in the home ~~ Please ask a staff member for more information on how to do proper introductions ~~ Mello would benefit from going on daily walks as he has plenty of energy to burn ~~ An Emily Weiss Walkie is recommended for this boy since he tends to pull on the leash ~~ Weiss Walkies can be found in TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe! ~~ Basic obedience classes that utilize positive reinforcement methods would be great to help Mello channel his energy and intelligence ~~ He is extremely treat motivated which will make training a breeze ~~ Will roll over for belly rubs! ~~ He would love to have some toys to play to keep him busy in the home ~~ He is a sweet boy with a mellow side that plenty of love to give to his new family! ~~ Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care ~~ DEPOSITS MAY BE PLACED ON ADOPTABLE ANIMALS by calling 320-252-0896
