Hey Clearwater, It’s Time To Clean Up!
How often do you have to take out the trash? Some people do it daily because they have a bigger family, while others, not as often because they have a smaller family.
Then of course, separating the recycling from the regular trash can reduce how often you have to carry bags to the outside trashcan, dumpster or to the landfill itself. But then you’ve got another bag or box to carry things to the recycling bin, so that could be an extra trip.
What do you do when you’ve got items too big for a trashcan or dumpster. My wife and I live in an apartment complex and often see larger items by the dumpster that folks sit out there they no longer want or need. But sometimes those items have to sit there until the time for the bigger items comes.
Residents in Clearwater need to be aware of such a day for larger items to be disposed of coming up this weekend. Saturday between 8am and 10am, residents can be a part of “Clean Up Clearwater Day”.
If you’ve got things that are too big for the normal service to pick up, start getting those items together. You can check in at the entrance of the Clearwater Public Works Building on Highway 75 and a line will be formed along Highway 75.
Keep in mind this is for Clearwater residents only. You will need a driver's license or ID card to provide proof you live there.
There is a charge for disposal of these items, and you’ll need to bring cash or checks, no credit or debit cards will be accepted.
They will not accept paint, oil, or bare or broken TV tubes. See the price list here.
