I'll admit it. I spent more time than I probably should have on the Les Paul Google Doodle, but I defended it by saying I'm a dj and I play guitar. Office workers on the other hand, not so much. So, how much did it actually cost? 

Last Thursday, the evil geniuses over at Google put up the Les Paul Google Doodle to celebrate what would have been the electric guitar inventor's 96th birthday. Well, people went crazy over it and Google kept it up on Friday as well.

According to Google, the average person spent an extra 26 seconds on their website and they had 740 million visits to their page over the two days. All told, it cost the global economy $268 million dollars.
