I can't tell you how happy I am to see venues starting to book live music once again. It's been a pretty long stretch of just about nothing to go listen to since the frickin' pandemic hit us.

Coming to the Mystic Amphitheater at Mystic Lake is one of the most distinctive voices in rock, John Fogerty.  Grammy winner John Fogerty has a very distinctive sound and throughout his long career has combined the likes of blues, country, rockabilly, pop, R&B. swamp boogie and good old Southern fried rock & roll.

Fogety has been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as well the Songwriters Hall of Fame. You'd be hard pressed to find a Vietnam era movie that didn't feature at least one Fogerty/Creedence Clearwater Revival tune.  And, of course, "Centerfield" is a staple tune at baseball games around the country.

Some of Fogerty's big hits include "Centerfield", "Proud Mary", "Susie Q", "Fortunate Son", "Born on the Bayou", B"Bad Moon Rising", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" and many others from the Fogerty/CCR catalogue.

Fogerty celebrated 50 years in music in 2019 with a worldwide tour. Fogerty's new show, "My 50 Year Trip" is in tribute to the 50th anniversary of Woodstock. His show will, for sure include songs that he and CCR performed at Woodstock.

Fogerty released an album in November of 2019 "50 Year Trip: Live at Red Rocks".  This should be an unbelievable show and what better way to spend a July evening than listening to a icon in the music business in a great venue like the Mystic Amphitheater.

Tickets for the show Sunday, July 4th at 8 PM in the Mystic Amphitheater will go on sale this Friday, (May 14th). Tickets start at $49.  Contact the Mystic Lake Box Office at 952-496-6563 or checkout mysticlake.com for more details.
