KARE Announces New Morning Meteorologist on Sunrise

It's been a minute.  Belinda Jensen retired a few weeks ago, and former Sunrise meteorolgist John Zeigler was promoted to Chief Meteorologist along with a move to the night position.  That left a hole in the Sunrise position.  So, that spot has been filled temporarily by rotating the others on the team.

NEW METEOROLOGIST WILL START THE END OF AUGUST

Now, just announced, is a new Sunrise meteorologist who has some former midwest ties.

Tucker Antico, who has spent the last three years in Boston, will be headed to Minnesota and will be part of the weather team on KARE beginning in late August.

“I’ve always told people about how much I loved my years in the Upper Midwest,” Antico posted on social media. “Well, I can’t wait to announce that I’m headed back! I’ll be joining KARE 11 in Minneapolis as the weekday morning meteorologist.”

WE ARE THE STATE OF HOCKEY AND ANITCO IS EXCITED ABOUT THAT

Antico says he is excited to come to the "state of hockey" and looks forward to attending some Wild Hockey games.  He is originally from Massachusetts but did previously work in the MIdwest.  He worked for WEAU-TV in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and also in Indiana before heading back to Massachusetts.  He will now be making the move back to the Midwest with KARE 11 Sunrise team.

Antico will join the weather team at KARE which currently includes John Zeigler, Ben Dery, Jamie Kagol, Courtney Aitkin, who is relatively new.  She was Belinda's last hire before retiring and also Laura Betker who has been working with Bobby Jensen on Grow with Kare for a few years.
