Well, this is super gross.  And I say this even growing up in farm country where driving around this and near this and behind this was commonplace.

JUST A VERY STINKY AND DANGEROUS SITUATION

A few days ago, there was an unfortunate accident and spill that occured on hwy 62 and 28th Avenue.  A big tanker had a liquid manure spill on the highway that left very gross and smelly residue on the road.  People were driving through it before they evenutally closed that portion of the road in an attempt to clean it up.

HERE IS WHAT PEOPLE WERE SEEING ON THE ROAD FOR A BIT

According to Bring Me the News, people reported that their cars were still smelly even after multiple washes trying to clean it off.

Can you imagine if you were not only just driving yourself, but what if you had somewhere important you had to be - like picking up a bridal party or something and had this situation happen?  Yes, that is totally a hypothetical, but imagne.

THERE WAS MORE THAN JUST THE SMELL

As if the smell alone wasn't enough of a problem, the slick surface caused real trouble for vehicles trying to navigate through it, reported CBS News. Distracted drivers, understandably rattled by the scene unfolding in front of them, ended up causing a chain-reaction crash while cleanup crews worked to clear the road. It's the kind of story that sounds made up until you remember Minnesota has plenty of farmland not far from its cities, and things occasionally fall off trucks that really shouldn't.

Not only was it gross, smelly, and apparently inches deep in some areas, it also caused some car crashes.

I'm just glad they did get it cleaned up. If you lived near there, it wasn't just a traffic issue.  It would be difficult to get that smell out even around the area.  Yuck!
