When I was younger, I used to be an enormous film fanatic. It was at one point my dream to go to film school to become an independent producer, but I ended up in radio instead (which I’m more than happy about.)

To be honest though, in recent years I haven’t been all that impressed with the movie industry. It seems like every new film that comes out is the same plot with a different cast. However, 2019 has impressed me. There are a handful of new films in theaters that I’m actually interested in seeing. Here are the films on my “to see” list.

  1. Angel Has Fallen
  2. Good Boys
  3. Ready or Not
  4. The Lion King
  5. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
  6. The Angry Birds Movie 2
  7. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
  8. Dora and the Lost City of Gold
  9. Overcomer
  10. 47 Meters Down: Uncaged
  11. The Peanut Butter Falcon
  12. Once Upon a Time In Hollywood
  13. Toy Story 4
  14. The Art of Racing in the Rain
  15. Blinded by the Light
  16. Where'd You Go, Bernadette
  17. Spider-Man: Far From Home

They all sound like pretty solid releases in my opinion. I actually watched Toy Story 4 about a month ago, and it is legitimately the saddest film I think I have ever seen. If you happen to go too watch it, bring tissues. You've been warned. Prepare for the waterworks. You can catch all of these newly released films at Marcus Parkwood Cinema in Waite Park right now and decide for yourself.
