Local Author Has #1 Best Seller on Amazon
LOCAL CAREGIVER WRITES BEST-SELLER IN CAREGIVING
I recently interviewed Melody Vachal, a new local author whose first book, 'Still, I Rise - A Guide to Navigating the Caregiver Journey', has been on Amazon's best-seller list.
All of us, in one way or another, will be a caregiver, or need a caregiver at some point in our lives. Melody has been on both sides of that spectrum.
As a veteran caregiver for over two decades, and a Speech-Language Pathologist, caring for her son and father, Melody was in a tragic accident and was suddenly the person who needed a caregiver. You can imagine what must have been going through her mind. What will my son do without me? What will my father do? Will I recover?

THE CAREGIVER JOURNEY
In her new book, she shares her story to help others on their journey. She has created this book to offer people practical advice, self-care tools, and prompts for journaling to help you on your path.
The book is a short read at 170 pages and is something you can refer to over and over again. It would be a great thoughtful gift for someone going through a difficult time, and I feel it's the best advice anyone could receive.
Where Melody has been a caregiver and needed a caregiver, she says shares how difficult it can be as an individual who needs care, but how to know that there are positives to both sides of the equation. Melody shares ways for everyone to be thankful for the life they are in, and how to deal with the obstacles they face.
