You Won’t Believe What People Have Lost When They Travel
Travel time is really at it's peak right now. With Spring break coming up, then summer and people are making plans to get out from where they are currently. Sometimes a family vacation and sometimes with friends and/or just adults. Whatever your plan, the packing and actual travel is probably the worst part of the trip.
TRAVELING WITH KIDS - PROBABLY EASIER TO LOSE ITEMS THEY BRING
Now, if you are traveling with family, meaning little kids, the chances of losing something seem to climb a bit. If you are bringing something valuable, the recommendation is always to keep those things with you. Like in a carry on or something. Same with medications, or anything that you for sure need with you, or you want to make sure you don't lose.
There was a study done marking what travelers seem to lose the most. And some of the things on this list are crazy to me. Like how in the world would you lose "that"??
The majority of items left on a plane are electronics, like laptops and headphones. But more interesting things left inside lost luggageinclude meat, fish and fresh herbs. Airlines have shared examples of bigger items lost or left behind, such as a toilet, a headstone, souvenir alligator heads, and human remains. WHAT????? How would you leave anythijng like the toilet, headstone and other giant items?? The most common thing above anything else were men's T-shirts.
How about losing some high buck items? I would keep those with me at all times.... or not bring them. I do know a lot of people who will either wear a fake wedding ring, and/or leave the big one at home and just wear something less valuable.
CHECK OUT THESE HIGH END ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN LOST IN TRAVEL
Rolex watches (including a $64,000 platinum model), Cartier rings, and designer goods (Gucci, Prada, etc.) There have also been brand new Louboutin (red bottom) shoes. I mean, if you are going to spend that much on a pair of shoes, maybe you should take better care of them. Obvioulsy those people have a lot more money than I do!
THIS IS SUPER ODD - HOW ABOUT LOSING A VEHICLE
One of the oddest thing that people have done is leaving their car at the airport. Sometimes it's because they were delayed or something and wind up owing quite a bit for long term parking. And they don't want to pay the fee. Well, this is a bad plan. The owner of the car will wind up paying the long term parking, and probably also the towing and impound fees too!
So, when you travel, just make sure to keep track of things that could go missing.
