If your kids love dressing up and collecting candy, you won’t want to miss the 2nd Annual ‘Marketplace Mall Trunk or Treat’ hosted by Pet Supplies Plus.

This family-friendly event will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 11 in the morning until 3 in the afternoon. It is one of those days when the whole family, including your pets, can join in on the fun.

WHERE TO START

The best place to start is at Pizza Ranch. That is where maps will be handed out to guide you through all the Trunk or Treat stations located throughout the mall. The first seventy-five kids to arrive will each receive a free five-dollar Pizza Ranch buffet coupon. That means you can enjoy lunch after all that candy hunting.

PET SUPPLIES PLUS OFFERING DOUBLE THE FUN

Pet Supplies Plus will have both outdoor and indoor stations, so be sure to stop by for double the fun. They are also giving out a free self-serve dog wash coupon with any in-store purchase, so your furry friend can be part of the celebration, too.

FREE BOWLS AT NAUTICAL BOWLS

Over at Nautical Bowls, every child twelve and under will receive a free bowl, which makes for a healthy treat during your day of fun. Kids ten and under will also love the monster-themed bounce house, where they can jump and play off some of that candy energy.

CHARLIE THE CLOWN

The entertainment continues with Charlie the Clown, who will be twisting balloon creations from noon until two, followed by his famous unicycle show at 1:45. You can also meet rescue animals who are looking for their forever homes, and maybe even find a new family pet while you are there.

Bring your kids, bring your pets, and join the fun at Marketplace Mall. It is a safe and exciting way to celebrate Halloween together.

LOOK: How Halloween has changed in the past 100 years

Stacker compiled a list of ways that Halloween has changed over the last 100 years, from how we celebrate it on the day to the costumes we wear trick-or-treating. We’ve included events, inventions, and trends that changed the ways that Halloween was celebrated over time. Many of these traditions were phased out over time. But just like fake blood in a carpet, every bit of Halloween’s history left an impression we can see traces of today.
