Kate from the St Cloud Humane Society checked in with us this morning and told us all about this great dog that's up for adoption.

Say hello to Soldier. He came to TCHS because his owner did not have enough time to care for him. He was adopted and returned about two weeks later due to his owners not having the time to properly train him. He is very high energy and is looking for an active home. Because of his energy level he would probably do best with older children.  LOVES people and LOVES attention.

His nickname might as well be Tigger, because he is always bouncing with excitement. Very sweet boy who needs plenty of physical and mental exercise to keep him happy and content with life. Calm, collected manners by his new family will help with his excitability that lead to rambunctious behavior. He has meet other dogs in the past and has done good with them, he has not met cats yet LOVES treats and food.

Basic obedience training utilizing positive reinforcement with treats and/or clicker training will likely do wonders to channel Soldier's mental and physical energy. Has been known to jump fences, so he should have a tall fence or have supervised time outside. Pulls hard on a leash, and an Emily Weiss leash has helped in the shelter; check out this product and other canine supplies in the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe.

His athletic nature may make him a great candidate for agility or other canine sporting activities. True to his "pittie" roots, he is a love-a-bull little guy on the lookout for his new best friend to go on adventures with. Could that be you??  Weighs 58 pounds. Thank you to Dr. Thomas Rohman for neutering Soldier Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, micro-chipping, vaccinating, de-worming, any medical procedures and general care.
