If you've seen the video of the George Floyd arrest in Minneapolis on Monday, it's heart wrenching to say the least. From what I understand, George Floyd was being arrested on a relatively minor infraction. So, what happened?

I am in no way saying cops are bad. It's a tough and stressful job and they see it all on a regular basis. I appreciate and support their profession. But, although I think probably 99% of cops are good honest people, it's that 1% that stinks up everything.

After watching the video several times, it puzzles me as to why after subduing Floyd, handcuffed and all, was it necessary to hold him down with a knee on the back of his neck?  Could they not have just picked him up and put him the back of a squad car?

"I can't breathe, I can't breathe" you can hear Floyd saying as the one officer has his knee on the back of his neck. And then he blurts out "Mama".  Heart wrenching and all so sad and unnecessary.

All four officers involved were fired quickly, as it should be. All four were complicit, as far as I'm concerned. I believe one or more of the officers standing by could have stopped this gross mistreatment but failed to do so.

The FBI and Minnesota Crime Bureau were called in to investigate the killing.  I can't speculate on their findings but after watching the video, it would not surprise me at all if murder charges were brought against the officers involved.

This kind of thing has to stop!
