Where To Find A Lake Getaway In Minnesota Under 250 A Night

Needing a weekend getaway, or even a week stay and you are planning on staying in Minnesota? Kind of a stay-cation because of the cost to fly somewhere has gotten out of control in some cases? There are a few resorts right here in Minnesota that are not that expensive when you compare to some others with the same amenities. Sometimes it's great to basically look in your own backyard when planning a family getaway or vacation.

Edgewater Hotel and Waterpark

This one has a waterpark! The waterpark is indoor/outdoor so immediately I'm thinking it's great for families whether it's summer or winter. That sounds amazing! It's located near Duluth, and starts at $150 per night.

Arrowwood Resort and Conference Center

Located just North of Alexandria, this resort has a sprawling landscape. It has a pool, tennis, boating and a nearby golf course. Something for everyone. The cost starts at $112 per night.

Larsmont Cottages on Lake Superior

The first comment you will see is that this person didn't think it was all that inexpensive, but added that you get what you pay for. This one starts at $210 per night. The views are amazing, there is a pool and a beach. And let's be honest - you will probably swim in the pool and just admire the lake. It's too cold, like all year 'round.

Ruttger's Bay Lake Resort

I have actually been to this resort. They have a great spa area, a nice lake with a beach, boat rentals, paddle boats and a pool. There is also a sandbar nearby that you can go and pull up to in a boat to spend the afternoon if you would like. There is a golf course too. Nice area, and reasonably priced at $240 per night. This resort is located just North of Mille Lacs Lake.

Caribou Highlands Lodge

This resort is one of the four located at Lutsen. There is a pool and a beach, and some nearby state parks available for hiking with beautiful views. There is also an alpine slide that is fun in the Summer, otherwise, it's a ski resort for some Winter getaways. The starting rate per night is $135. Very reasonable.
