We know everything... almost everything has been cancelled since last March when the initial shut down happened. We gone through 9 months of this. People are really getting "COVID weary".  There is a bright side...  outdoor activities are more popular than they have been in recent years.

More people are buying fishing licenses to go ice fishing. Side note: I've lived in Minnesota most of my life and I've  never been ice fishing. I have been in that ice fishing contest on Gull Lake, but other than that...  never.  People are also heading to the area ski/sled/snowboard and tubing areas.

Maybe it's time to take up another hobby. I have heard so many people complain about the weight they have gained during the pandemic, combined with the gym closures, it's a good time to do some outdoor exercise.  If you have never gotten into cross-country skiing, or snowshoeing, now might be the time to do that. Buy a snowmobile if you don't already have one. You can be social distant and still have a good time with a group of people.  If you are more adventurous than I,  take up some downhill skiing.  That's a fun family activity.  If you don't feel comfortable with that, there is also tubing offered at most ski areas around Minnesota.

There is also "fat biking". Yep, you see those crazy big tires on a pedal bike, that's what those are for- biking in the Winter.  There are some trails that are set just for this purpose.  That might be a fun change of pace.

So, even though we all want some normalcy back, there are some things that people can do around Minnesota, and you don't have to travel too far to enjoy it.
