Paul McCartney Ballet Debuts Tonight [VIDEO]

Sir Paul McCartney makes his ballet debut tonight in New York City.

Choreographer Peter Martins commissioned him to help him create the ballet called Ocean's Kingdom and Paul said that he didn't really know what he was getting in to when he agreed to do the project.

Paul said that has he was writing the ballet he would envision what the movements of the dancers would be and shared them with Peter. Peter said that he welcomed his suggestions and gladly incorporated them into Kingdom which strengthened their working relationship.

The ballet even allowed for another first for Paul. The chance to work with his daughter, Stella McCartney who is a world renowned fashion designer who created all of the costumes for Kingdom.

Ocean's Kingdom premieres tonight. Additional performances are scheduled and an album of the ballet's score is due out sometime next year.
