Sir Paul McCartney fires his road manager and it wasn't because of him canceling the gig at Target Field.

Paul McCartney told Mojo Magazine that he fired his road manager 20 years ago because he told him to retire.

Paul says that he was "knocking 50" and his road manager suggested that he thought it was time for him to retire. Paul was having none of it and sent him packing. He said that he thought, "I know what you mean, but I don't really like it."

McCartney says that he enjoys what he does and if he still enjoys it, why retire? Paul is now getting married and getting set to release a new album. When asked if he ever wonders what his former road manager thinks now McCartney replied, "Perhaps he thought he was right, but hopefully not."

Keep on rockin', Paul!
