File this one under the too-strange-to-be-fake file. The Stearns County Sheriff's Office shared a post on their social media page this morning regarding finding a stolen and loaded handgun and arresting a man while serving a warrant for another man at an apartment building on Monday morning.

The post reads:

During the early morning hours when most of you are sleeping, the team at the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office can be found working hard serving the community and let’s be honest, sometimes working hard to stay awake! On Monday around 3:15 a.m., responded to a warrant tip at an apartment building in St. Cloud. The anonymous tip came into our webpage, which can be used at any hour of the day. Deputies were walking up to the apartment building when they noticed a suspicious person. peaking around the apartment building and then ducking behind a car before walking away. Finding this a bit odd, deputies checked the area where the suspicious person ducked behind the car and located a loaded black handgun on top of the vehicle’s tire. Deputies detained the male and secured the handgun which they determined was previously reported stolen and reported to the SCPD. The male was not the party from the warrant, and the investigation is ongoing.
No matter the time of day, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office is committed to our partners, our profession, and our communities!
Yes, the man was, according to the Sheriff's Office, peeking around the building at them when they were walking up to serve a warrant at 3 in the morning.
Like momma always used to say, nothing good happens after midnight.
