Playoffs Are Here But Throwback Jerseys Are Not For Timberwolves
Tonight (Tuesday night) marks the third time in my lifetime, and for that matter, the third time in franchise history, that the Minnesota Timberwolves are playing in the Western Conference Finals. The last time they played in the WCF was last year, and before that, we have to go back to Kevin Garnett lacing up for the Wolves. There is just one problem, in my opinion, with the upcoming series, and it's not a player match-up.
Why won't fans see the throwbacks?
Sadly, it seems the team isn't going to, or to be perfectly honest, can't take advantage of the opportunity to turn back the clock and wear their throwback jerseys during this upcoming best-of-7 series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Fans of the Timberwolves last year got to see the white throwbacks during the playoffs, and it was visually pleasing. The white jersey and shorts combo with blue lettering outlined in that throwback green! *Chef Kiss*
Regretfully, that uniform combination isn't available for this season; the options the team has to wear are the white with blue horizontal striped jersey and short combination.

The Nike Statement Jersey, which is described as being "Shadow Grey and Aurora Green". (I do like the typeface on this jersey combo)
The final option that the Wolves have this year is the City Edition, which resembles "ice-covered lakes under a moonlit night sky."
What will the Timberwolves be wearing in the Western Conference Finals?
We know the uniforms that will be worn for the first 4 games of the series by both teams, you can see a side-by-side of the matchups here.
Game 1: Timberwolves will be in the Grey and Green Statement jersey, while Oklahoma City will be wearing all white.
Game 2: The Timberwolves will be wearing the white with blue striped combination, with Oklahoma City will be in their blue jerseys and shorts.
Games 3 & 4: The Timberwolves will be wearing the blue jersey with the white horizontal stripes, while the Oklahoma City Thunder will be wearing their white combination both nights.
What time are the games, and where can I watch the games?
The game times for the Western Conference finals are:
Game 1: 7:30pm on ESPN
Game 2: 7:30pm on ESPN
Game 3: 7:30pm on ABC
Game 4: 7:30pm on ESPN
Of course, you can tune in to the games on Granite City Sports - AM1390 or 93.9FM.
