We've been waiting for this for just about a year.  Seems like ten.  It's been a long time since anything has been normal.  At least now we are seeing some light at the end of the tunnel as far as the pandemic goes.  People are getting vaccinated, things are starting to open, and events are starting to be scheduled.  Granted, some of those things are still being pushed to the end of the summer when they were originally scheduled for this Spring, or early Summer but at least they look like they will happen.

The latest event- Wild games.  Beginning at tonight's game- Xcel will allow 3000 fans in the stands.  This is a far cry from regular, full capacity, but it's a start. Tickets are sold out for this game, as they will be taking on the Colorado Avalanche.

Representatives with the Wild say that front-line workers will be welcomed to the game as special guests.

Minnesota's COVID guidelines will allow 3,000 fans to watch the boys take to the ice, with plenty of safety measures in place.

Like I said, this is a far cry from 100% capacity, but it is a start, and it's so good to see things moving in this direction.  For awhile it almost seemed that would never happen.  And quite honestly, I have heard people say that they don't think it ever will.  I'm not that pessimistic.  I think that we will be back to normal by the end of this year- hopefully sooner.  But that is my prediction.

And sidebar- this mask thing.  I know they are still required in some situations.  We have people who are still upset about those situations.  Then we have people like I saw this weekend, who are out walking outside, by themselves with no one else around wearing a mask.  That's the total other side of the spectrum.
