The Poison front man has a New Year's Eve bash planned for a location in the Midwest and revelers may star in his next music video.

The Get Your Rock On Bret Michaels New Year's Eve Extravaganza may be harder to say than Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve, but it's a heck of a lot closer than New York City.

The bash is taking place in Springfield, Illinois at the Prairie Capital Convention Center and in addition to the party and a concert, party goers will get to demonstrate their own vocal abilities in the Rock and Roll Karaoke area as well as show off their moves in the dance contest. But be careful. The event will be taped and footage will be used in Bret's new music video for Get Your Rock On which is the title track for his upcoming album. Tickets may be hard to come by, though. The event sold out in four minutes.

While this sounds like a fun night, do you really think that video taping people singing karaoke is the best idea? It sounds more like evidence for an alcohol intervention. I can hear it now:

"I DON'T HAVE A DRINKING PROBLEM!!"

"Oh really? Let's go to the video tape."

There you are singing Mambo Number Five and it's off to rehab you go.
