Hard rockers show their softer side following Friday's events in Japan and how you can help.

Aerosmith, KISS and Judas Priest have all issued statements in support of the Japanese people and to let them know that they are thinking about their fans.

Judas Priest says, "We were all deeply shocked to hear about the awful tragedy in Japan with the earthquake and tsunami. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all our fans and everyone there." Aerosmith took to their website saying, "We want you all to know that we're thinking of you through this tough and difficult time. Our thoughts and hearts go out to you." and KISS issued a statement saying, "To all our loyal fans, friends and their families devastated by the effects of the earthquake in Japan. We stand side by side with you in support and you will remain in our prayers through this time of tragedy."

There are a number of ways to help, including the Red Cross and Salvation Army. Apple also has a special page in the iTunes store that lets users donate money through their iTunes account.

Iron Maiden was also forced to cancel shows in Japan. The group apologized to fans that had made special arrangements to see the show. Bass player Steve Harris issued a statement saying, "Our deepest sympathies go out to everyone affected by this disaster -- our fans in Japan, the people of Japan, and those in many other places suffering from the tsunami." Iron Maiden says that they value their relationship with the Japanese people but have not announced any make-up dates.
